Injection Equipment Access Centre (CAMI) and syringe recovery

General information

Injection Equipment Access Centers (CAMIs) are places where people who use drugs can obtain injecting equipment anonymously.

CAMIs can be located in several types of resources:

  • pharmacies;
  • CLSC;
  • hospital centers;
  • clinics;
  • family medicine groups (GMF);
  • addiction rehabilitation centers;CAMI
  • community organizations.

A logo identifies the resources that provide access to injection equipment. It is usually affixed to the front door of CAMI.
